First ‘design detail’ of Mercedes-Bens EQC production version unveiled; additional details on September 4
In a short video posted on Twitter, Daimler has unveiled “the very first design detail” of Mercedes-Benz’s forthcoming production version of its ‘EQC’ all-electric SUV, and has also confirmed that the full version of production EQC will be unveiled next week.
The EQC is the first all-electric vehicle which Mercedes-Benz has built from the ground up. The vehicle will mark the launch of the automaker’s new ‘EQ’ brand for all-electric vehicles, to take on the all-electric luxury SUVs scheduled for launch by other automakers in the coming years.
The video posted on Twitter is basically a teaser, which unfolds parts of the production version of Mercedes-Benz EQC. The video shows the front-end of the all-electric SUV, including the same grille and the headlights which were noticed in a less camouflaged production prototype of the vehicle a few weeks back.
In unveiling the first “design detail” of the Mercedes-Benz EQC all-electric SUV on Twitter, Daimler revealed that the vehicle will soon be unveiled in full, and said: “Mercedes-Benz is flipping the switch: On September 4th, we will present our first all-electric Mercedes-Benz model of our new product and technology brand EQ.”
The upcoming unveiling of the full production version of EQC by Mercedes-Benz will apparently come with updated specifications as compared to those announced previously for the concept vehicle, including a 70 kWh battery pack, two electric motors, and 0-100 km/h acceleration in less than five seconds.
