The Lion Electric Co. is building new line-up of all-electric buses and trucks in Quebec

Quebec-based school bus manufacturer The Lion Electric Company is bringing a new line-up of ‘eLion’ all-electric buses and trucks to the market.

The all-electric vehicles in The Lion Electric Co.’s new line-up are available in various sizes --- from small shuttle buses to class 8 heavy-duty electric trucks. The vehicles have the ability to offer a range of between 90 km and 150 km, depending on their configuration.

The introduction of an entire line-up of all-electric buses and trucks by The Lion Electric Co. is a result of the company’s relentless efforts, over the last three years, focused on the conversion of its production capacity to electric school buses.

With The Lion Electric Co.’s expertise now being leveraged for making eLion electric buses and trucks available in the market, the company is producing these vehicles in Saint-Jerome, a small city located close to Montreal in Quebec, Canada. The manufacturing facilities have recently been expanding by The Lion Electric Co. after having recently secured a new funding round.

According to recent reports, The Lion Electric Co. has already delivered 40 eLion electric buses in California in the last one year. As a result of the deliveries, eLion buses presently comprise the biggest electric school bus fleet in North America. The Lion Electric Co. is now negotiating the opening of a possible new factory in the US.
