Nissan announces official debut of new LEAF NISMO, sales in Japan to start July 31

In a recent announcement, Japanese automaker Nissan said that it is officially launching the new LEAF NISMO sport version, and will begin the sales of the vehicle in Japan at the end of July 2018.

The new LEAF NISMO brings a sportier and more aggressive look to the updated design of the next-generation LEAF electric car which was launched by the automaker in 2017.

Nissan had unveiled the new LEAF NISMO concept earlier in 2018, but its plans for the launch of the vehicle were not disclosed. However, in recent months, Nissan and motorsports and in-house tuning division Nismo have been teasing the LEAF NISMO.

In its recent announcement of the official launch of the new LEAF NISMO, Nissan has now confirmed that the vehicle is scheduled to go on sale in its home country on July 31, 2018. But, the details about the international rollout of the vehicle have not been revealed.

The new LEAF NISMO will be available in nine body colors, including the NISMO series’ custom Brilliant Silver (Metallic)/Super Black two-tone and the Dark Metal Grey (Metallic)/Super Black two-tone.

Some of the custom features for the New LEAF NISMO will include a sporty interior, the distinctive layered double wings of the NISMO road car series, dedicated 18-inch high-grip tires, custom suspension system, and custom-tuned electric power steering and Intelligent Trace Control.
